Grapes harvested from Block 7, our best Cabernet block. Crushed and destemed to small open fermenters which are hand plunged. Matured in French barriques, 50% new, for 18 months. COLOR AND AROMA: Intense blackberries, cassis and a dusting of cocoa on the nose. Abundant dark berries, black olive and cedary oak merge with fine tannins to create an elegant wine with a long finish.Small batches of the best fruit were hand plunged. Cassis, black cherry, violets, bay leaf and graphite; this could be nothing but Margaret River Cabernet. There is a core of intense purple fruit that's wrapped in stylish cedary oak. Bright acid and fine tannin add substance to a super long finish. Elegant, silky and sophisticated this is utterly delicious. Drink now or in ten years.
