Available in original, black, green, red and blue colours. Zappa Sambuca is perhaps the best known as a shooter, but this liqueur can also be mixed with lemonade or used as a cocktail ingredient. Zappa Sambuca is flavoured with essential oils obtained from anise, star anise, liquorice and other spices. It also contains elderflowers. The oil is added to pure alcohol, a concentrate solution of sugar and other flavourings. Zappa Original Sambuca Nose: Spices overwhelm the nose and hint at the taste. Palate: Dominant flavours of anise, liquorice and elderflower blend to create a spicy palate. Finish: A long-lasting liquorice and spice aftertaste with a pleasant warming sensation.
